What this data cannot tell you
- Which terpene leads test by test: only 1 of the 17 tests reports at least five individual terpenes; the analysis needs 20.1
- Which strains have a similar terpene mix: needs at least 30 tests with individual terpene values (1 here).1
- Lab-to-lab differences: needs at least 3 labs with 20 or more tests each.1
- THC and terpenes together: needs at least 60 tests reporting both.1
- Change over time: needs at least two years, two or more years apart, with 20 or more tests each.1
- A particular jar: lab results describe flower sold under the name across 3 states from 2015 to 2022; only a batch’s own certificate of analysis describes that batch.1
- Effects: these are chemistry measurements. None of them predicts how a strain will feel to a particular person.
