The Hindu Kush universe
The Mountain Elder
Every strain in the Official Cannabis network gets its own world. Hindu Kush’s belongs to the Mountain Elder: a snow leopard who has walked the high passes longer than anyone remembers, reading old maps and never in a hurry.
Who the Mountain Elder is
A wise, unhurried snow leopard elder who walks upright, with a grey-white spotted coat and calm pale eyes. The Elder wears a weathered ochre wool travelling cloak, leans on a wooden walking staff and carries a leather satchel full of rolled maps. Most things are mildly amusing to the Elder, and nothing is worth rushing; the Elder’s favorite pastime is studying the line of the next pass before setting off.
The world
A high mountain pass among snowcapped peaks, where topographic contour lines drift across the sky like wind and old trade-route maps mark the way between valleys. The palette is warm ochre, slate grey-blue, snow white and deep charcoal.
